EN 17037 §4.2 — View out

Part of EN 17037:2018. See that page for legal status.

Requirement

Assessed for the position(s) of likely occupants. Three sub-criteria:

The overall rating for a space is the lowest of the three sub-criteria ratings.

This is independent of the national codes' own view-out rules where they exist — e.g. Denmark's BR18 §378 is a separate functional requirement, not based on this criterion.

Calculation setup

Assessed from reference points within the utilized area, not the daylight reference plane used for daylight provision. See Annex C of the standard for the reference-point and verification method.
