Daylight metrics

LUX and the regulations on this site describe daylight with three metrics: Daylight Factor (DF), the static, climate-independent ratio of indoor to outdoor illuminance under an overcast sky; Daylight Autonomy (DA), the climate-based share of occupied hours meeting an illuminance target; and solar heat load (solvärmelast), the Swedish measure of solar gain used by Miljöbyggnad.
